Cookies

We set four of our own. They tell us how people find the site and stop us counting you twice.

Google, Meta and OpenAI set their own, and those are the ones the banner is asking about. Say no thanks and they never load. Your answer is saved in your browser, so clearing your history brings the banner back.

Saying no does not stop everything. When you buy something or send us a form, we still tell those three that it happened, so we know which ads are worth paying for. Your email and phone number go as a scrambled code, never as text, and nobody can read your details back out of it. Your IP address goes with it.

Who else sees it

  Takes the payment. Sees your card, name, email, phone and address

  Keeps your order and any messages. Runs on a server we rent in London

  Our inbox, so anything you email us sits there

  Tell us which ads work. See the pages you visit and your IP address

• Vercel

  Runs the website and checks our forms for bots. Sees your IP address

• The dealer you pick

  Gets your name, email and message, but only when you ask for a demo

• Couriers

  Get your name, address and phone so they can deliver

Some of them are American, so some of your details end up in the US. All of them are under contract to look after your data and use it only for the job above. Nobody on this list buys it from us, because we do not sell it.

Why we keep it

Because you asked us to do something, like send you a speaker or answer a question. Because you said yes, as with emails and the cookie banner. Because we need to know which adverts work. Or because the taxman needs the paperwork.

How long we keep it

Orders stay for six years, because HMRC says so. You are on the mailing list until you unsubscribe, and every email has the link. Cookies expire on their own, on the dates above.

Enquiries and support messages have no expiry date. We would rather admit that than print a schedule we do not stick to. Ask and yours goes.

What you can ask us to do

Send you a copy of what we hold. Fix it. Delete it. Stop emailing you. Stop using it altogether. Email privacy@tantrumaudio.co.uk and we will sort it within a month. It is free and you do not have to explain why.

If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the people who police this, on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first.

Keeping it safe

The site is encrypted, your card never reaches us, and only the handful of people who run the company can open the order system. No website can promise more than that and mean it.

Changes

This page changes when the site does. The date at the top says when it last did.
