Preface

Covers Omnissiah v0.1.3

All chapters

Omnissiah is the desktop app for room correction and speaker control on your Tantrum Audio Really Mean Sub. Before you start, read the safety notes below and skim the conventions this guide uses — every task later on is written as plain, numbered steps.

About this guide

This guide is for owners of a Tantrum Audio Really Mean Sub using the Omnissiah desktop app to set up, measure and correct their system. You don't need to be an audio engineer — every task is written as plain, numbered steps with a picture. Sections that go deeper are clearly marked Advanced (optional); you can skip them and still get a great result.

The app's name

The app is called Omnissiah. That's the name you'll see on its icon in your Applications folder and in the dock. Some in-app text and older documents call it “DSP Control” — it's the same app. This guide uses Omnissiah throughout.

How this guide is organised

  • Part I – Overview — what the app does and how to install it.
  • Part II – Getting started — the fastest path from unboxing to good sound, plus a tour of the screen.
  • Part III – Task reference — one chapter per job: managing devices, shaping sound, measuring, room correction, results, backup, settings.
  • Part IV – Advanced — fine-tuning room correction, custom target curves, diagnostics.
  • Part V – Help — troubleshooting, a glossary, and reference appendices.

New users should read Parts I–II in order. If you already know your way around, jump straight to the Part III chapter for the task you want.
